The Four-striped Grass Mouse or Four-striped Grass Rat (Rhabdomys pumilio) is a species of rodent in the family Muridae. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are dry savanna, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, hot deserts, arable land, rural gardens, and urban areas.

The four-striped Grass Mouse is commonly found on Mount Kilimanjaro near the various campsites, including Barafu camp at 4600m. [1]
